Drove up the Pacific Coast Highway over the weekend to explore what is North of San Francisco. The answer is more fog and beautiful seascape. North on Highway One has amazing views of random rock formations settled in the ocean and dark pebbled beaches. The road wasnt crowded with day trippers like myself but be prepared to do 25 mph around curvy bluffs.
Each Beach in Sonoma County had its own individual parking which all were on cliffs, depending what beach you go to had its own set of rules. Some had free parking, Some allowed leashed dogs. I saw bathroom facilities and paved walkways to the shore.
There werent many people on the beach, as I imagined. Maybe because it is September and it was foggy or — maybe its because I am not living in Southern California anymore! Regardless, The beach is a unique enviroment. Its beautiful no matter what is going on in the world and the beach will help you forget what wrong is going on in your world. Just breathe in the fresh air and stare at the movement of the waves and relax. What a treat for myself, the less people the better. There will always be that one person who leaves their trash behind, or that person who is talking in the background while you are trying to enjoy that beautiful moment, but not today my friend . We were able to run the dogs down the beach, climb rocks, and take as many pictures without ruining others enjoyment.
We didnt have an itinerary for the day but, there were turnouts and free parking along the way and proudly we had an amazing time. The only thing I would do differently is 1. have a map that shows alternate ways to get back to the 101 freeway because I did not have cell phone service anywhere. So please be prepared to have your map and know where you are going because we drove North to Fort Ross and didnt know if there was a highway that could take us back to the freeway so we just turned around and went back the way we came but I would have really liked to see a different way to get back home.

On a photographic inspired tour one sunday afternoon we voyaged out to a very eclectic neighborhood within San Francisco called Haight/Ashbury. The area caters to both tourists and locals due to its so called bohemian ambiance. The streets were filled with dank eateries, homegrown record stores, chronic clothing boutiques, Grateful Dead & Rastafarian souvenir shops, lastly I must not forget the numberless headshoppes populated with your local weed aficionados. While it was very tempting to tour every business, my main squeeze captured a few snaps of the local outdoor flavor while patiently waiting for his leading lady who browsed every shop. I share one of his Jimi Hendrix photos with a crazy coincidental & accidental exposure, if he knew what he was shooting im sure this photo would not be in existance today but now we can all sit back and have a laugh. big ups to the awesome transient who kindly offered to share/expose his quarter sack of herb and his piece to anyone that cared to converse with the man. His kind gesture brightened up my day, stoners are kind individuals i tell you.
look closely at the photo and tell me if you ‘find waldo’

DONT BE FOOLED this little dude is tough
Being a pug owner is definitely an interesting experience. pugs snore . fart (alot). follow you around the house. are always hungry. even after they just ate, they want what you are eating. they think they are bigger than what they are. insist to be in the front seat of the car. hang half way out the window for fresh air . wish to sleep in your bed and wake up on their time. wherever you go they always need attention — by others. & you will always get attention — by others. yet their irresistibly cute face and boxer-like features in a small body, curly pig tail, and unique personality makes them well respected breed in my world.
