half filipina. half amazing

Tuesday.

Oh, how I love waterfalls. I know I have been posting many pacific northwest pictures…subliminally, I miss it & wish it was my permanent home.

Our first morning in Washington, my boyfriend asked .. what do I wish to see? out of anything possible he could search for.. Not Downtown, Not the Space Needle, Not Pikes Market… I wanted a waterfall.

Twenty some miles away from the city in a town called Snoqualmie resided this landmark that I feel everyone who enjoys and appreciates the outdoors must experience.

I wasnt shown pictures beforehand of Snoqualmie Falls, We just packed up and went on our journey. We were in Washington, I pictured a mediocre waterfall in the forrest that was worth the short drive but not a jaw-dropping astonishing experience. I didnt see a huge river on the drive, I know there is large bodys of water surrounding Seattle…. but man, I was so WRONG!!! The volume of the water and the height of the falls were so amazing. The distance from the parking lot to the falls were very close.. After we parked [for free which i may add]I could hear the water and see mist.

Ive seen my fair share of waterfalls since I spent years in Carson City boarding the Sierra Nevada Moutain Range. This site is hands down my most favorite place to be outdoors. I visited the falls near Memorial Day 2009 and the weather was beautiful.. We walked [hiked] one mile to the bottom of the falls and saw what the Snoqualmie River looked like. There was nobody around and we had the place to ourselves.
